Abstract: We present the results of a search for 22 GHz H2O maser toward the nuclei of active galaxies using the Nobeyama 45-m telescope and Effelsberg 100-m telescope. The primary aim of this search is to detect H2O maser in relatively nearby narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies (NLS1s), most of which were selected from radio-bright NLS1s detected in the NVSS catalogue. In our single-dish survey, no new H2O maser has been detected at luminosity upper limit of ∼ 5 L, implying that strong H2O masers are not associated with the nuclei of NLS1s.
