Abstract: The ring-diagram technique is widely used to study oscillation mode parameters and dynamics of the sub-surface layers of the Sun. In this technique, the three-dimensional power spectrum is fitted to a model to calculate mode parameters. The fitted velocities are then inverted to infer the depth dependence of sub-surface flows. Here, we examine the influence of various models on inferred quantities and also compare results obtained with contemporaneous Dopplergrams from SDO/HMI and GONG.
