Abstract: In the deep field of the Fornax cluster, obtained from the new survey data taken at the Very Large Telescope Survey Telescope, we have detected a good candidate for a forming polar ring galaxy. This object, named FCSS J033715.7-354712, at z≃0.1, is located on the south of the bright S0 galaxy NGC 1389. We have analysed images in the g and i bands to derive the whole galaxy structure and colors. Preliminary results show that the central object resembles a disk galaxy, and the polar structure is still forming. We argue that the ring is the result of the ongoing disruption of a dwarf galaxy orbiting around the central object.
