Abstract: We have compared the halo kinematics traced by globular clusters and planetary nebulae for two massive ellipticals in dense environments, NGC 1399 (in the Hydra I cluster) and NGC 4649 (in the Virgo cluster). We find differences in the rotational properties of the planetary nebulae, red globular clusters, and blue globular clusters systems, and evidence for multi-spin components in both galaxies.
