Abstract:	We assess for the first time the impact that the uncertainties affecting the 12C(α,γ)16O reaction rate have on the asteroseismological inferences of ZZ Ceti stars. For our adopted test-case, the well studied DAV star G117-B15A, we found that the incomplete knowledge of the 12C(α,γ)16O nuclear reaction rate results in a moderate dispersion of the structural parameters of the asteroseismological model.
