Abstract: Mixing of metals and their abundance pattern in the ISM takes longer times than other processes. Under these conditions different regions of the interstellar gas can have variations of thermal and chemical spectral features. We study ionization kinetics and thermal evoluton of a gas with different abundances of chemical elements dominating ISM cooling. We show that thermal state is sensitive to variations of C, O, Ne, Fe abundances.
