Abstract: We investigated temporal variations of radial velocities and line profiles in the spectrum of the supergiant κ Cas based on echelle-CCD spectra obtained during 11 consecutive nights. Rapid variabilities of radial velocities and line profiles, P<1 day, were not detected. Radial velocity variability of the photospheric lines and wind lines He I λ 5876, 6678 are due to nonradial pulsations. Wind-line variabilities of Hβ and Hα are caused by superpositions of emission lines in the profiles of these lines. Variabilities of wind-line profiles, particularly, Hβ and Hα testify that κ Cas is a Be star.
