Abstract: |
Task based execution, where one avoids global constraint such as a common timestep or synchronous iterations is arguably the future of computational astrophysics, in the context of grid-based simulations of hydrodynamics and magneto-hydrodynamics as well as in the context of particle-in-cell and pure particle methods. With respect to radiation transport the same applies, both for direct use in simulations, and for expensive post-processing, such as multi-level spectral line diagnostic with partial redistribution in three spatial dimensions and time. |
