Abstract: |
From ancient times, heavenly bodies, stars, and astronomical phenomena were an inexhaustible source for poetical inspiration. Western Armenian poetry at the beginning of the 20th century is not an exception in this sense. The metaphorical applications of heavenly bodies and phenomena in the poetry of the famous Western Armenian poet Missak Metsarents are very diverse and varied. They often help to reveal one's inner life, emotions, expectations, and feelings. Many times astronomy is the basis for building new, poetical, and uniquely beautiful words. |
