“Saving the Dark” is a new nonprofit documentary movie on astronomy and light pollution, to be made available online to watch for free. It is about the significance of astronomy and the night sky, and the effects of light pollution on astronomy, human health, wildlife and beyond—and what we can do to fight it. The movie shows how light pollution costs a lot of money, affects our health, wildlife and environment; shows the work of nonprofits fighting to preserve dark skies; tells what people can do to fight light pollution; and talks to citizens that have successfully handled this issue. |
