Abstract: |
In recent years, many new interdisciplinary disciplins apeared, combining computer science with other fields of research.
The reason for this Cambrian explosion in sciences is the availability of extreme data-sets.
The so called fourth pradigm by Jim Gray is a new branch in research; data-driven science.
At ADASS, the intersection between computer science and astronomy was always in the focus.
Based on examples, the novel way of dealing with large and complex data is presented.
Dimensionallity reduction techniques as a key tool to explore large data-sets as well as deep-learning techniques are discussed. |
