Abstract:	The Subscription/Notification Service notifies users when new or reprocessed data from the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) or the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) are available for download. The Notification Service communicates to the Subscription Service that the data is available, while the Subscription Service determines which users need to be notified and sends out the appropriate notifications. This poster focuses on the Notification part of the service, in particular the design and the use of the Akka Actor Toolkit.
