On the edge of totality, WKU invited districts outside the path to come to the football stadium to experience the eclipse. We also visited over 20 districts in and out of totality early in the year to attempt to encourage them to use the eclipse as a wonderful interdisciplinary educational moment. For both groups we provided safe solar viewers and other resources. Our successes and failures as the eclipse summer progressed is a lesson for those planning how best to reach students in 2024. |
