Abstract: |
He-burning, pulsating stars such as RR Lyrae and Classical Cepheids are not only crucial primary distance indicators, but they are also at the crossroad of many fundamental astrophysical problems/topics. In this review, we briefly recall the general properties of the evolutionary scenario of both low- and intermediate-mass, He-burning pulsating stars, and discuss some of the problems that still affect the theoretical evolutionary framework. |
