Abstract:	We have acquired multicolor photometric and the first high-resolution spectroscopic data for V824 Cas. From the high-resolution spectroscopic data, we provide metallicity determinations using the equivalent width (EW) method. This low amplitude Cepheid has not been studied before. We briefly comment on the pulsation mode that could not have been conclusively established on a basis of photometric observations.
