Abstract: |
Stellar measurements are potentially affected by a number of systematic uncertainties such as, but not limited to, reference frame drift, confusion with unresolved sources, PSF variance, and binary motion. Many of these effects, including stellar motion, can be modeled as Gaussian Processes. Gaussian Processes can greatly simplify the derivation of posteriors and related quantities. In this work, we discuss how this technique can significantly reduce effort in modeling stars with incomplete orbits that are subject to systematic uncertainties. |
