Abstract: Are your students in an online, remote, blended, or hybrid learning environment in the coming year? Come to this interactive session to learn a process for choosing activities and assessments that help your students reach the learning objectives you have in mind. You will gain insight into what each mode, synchronous or asynchronous, offers you and your learners. You'll leave this session with a strategy for designing or re-thinking your next course, tangible ideas for active and/or collaborative learning for both modes, and a bucket full of formative assessment strategies. Depending on the capabilities of our conference platform, you'll either work solo or collaboratively with your peers in an informal workshop format.
