Abstract: |
During this special Astro 101 session, panelists presented their work related to observing, citizen science, and virtual worlds. Currently, a large number of online resources are available for use in both remote and in person astronomy courses. The panel shared tools that can be used for remote observing, citizen science projects, computer-based visualizations, and astronomy research projects where students can participate actively in data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation. Through examples and tools, the panel presented innovative ways to let students not only contribute to science but to create products to share their knowledge. |
