Abstract: |
Coordinated observations by school students during the 10 May 1994 annular solar eclipse in Indiana promoted learning and interest in science. The experience did not end on eclipse day but led to a CD-ROM publication of student observations. A solar eclipse does not have to be total to inspire students who experience it, but it does need coordinated, widespread education and support to be most effective. |
