Abstract: |
On December 25, 2000, FREGATE (the gamma-ray detector on board HETE-2) detected one of its first gamma-ray bursts and the brightest one, GRB001225 called the "Christmas Burst." We present in this study the spectrum of the entire burst and we show that it cannot be fit with the usual Band function, and requires an additional component. We also study the spectral evolution of the burst through the evolution of the fit parameters. And finally we discuss the different possibilities which can explain this unusual spectrum. |
