Abstract: Multi-wavelength, multi-component, synthetic spectral models of the FUV spectra of cataclysmic variables (CV) coupled with evolutionary simulations are yielding deepened insights into the physical structure of CV boundary layers, angular momentum transfer and long term heating during mass accretion onto their white dwarf (WD) primaries. We present recent results on the white dwarf in WZ Sge three years after its ten years-early July 2001 outburst. We combine HST, FUSE and IUE spectra and present the resulting properties of the underlying accreting white dwarfs and other FUV flux components in quiescent dwarf novae with a special focus on long period systems. The distribution of CV white dwarf temperatures above the period gap is compared to the distribution of CV WD temperatures below the gap.
