| Abstract: |
This paper presents a concept for a quick-turnaround information system which combines elements of electronic and hard copy publishing: control by a panel of professional astronomers; firm but flexible standards and conventions; internet-based fast refereeing service; printer-friendly downloads; collection of articles into virtual volumes; on-demand printing of whole volumes for conventional archiving. It is proposed that such a service be hosted by one of the major astronomical research centers, or professional societies. |
