Abstract: An evolution of the IUCAA library is presented. Astronomy libraries are intensely interested in balancing the tools of information technology and traditional information resources in their discipline. The IUCAA Library has met the challenges of the new emerging technologies and the increasing demands of its users by adopting e-resources. It is shown how the library generates value added e-information for its users and how a small special library can be converted into a hybrid library moving towards a digital library. This paper also describes the important e-resources of astronomy and astrophysics used in the IUCAA library.
