Abstract: The halo structure, generated by the cosmology, which is far from stability and isotropy, plays a crucial role in triggering and fueling long living bars in disks with negligible self-gravity, i.e., dark matter (DM) dominated disks. However, the effects of the fully cosmological frame-work, i.e., of the environment, cannot be neglected in the evolution of the more massive disks. The bar cannot destroy the halo triaxiality which always restores its initial value, also when the bar disappears.
