Abstract: We present first results of an on-going study to identify and analyze rotationally supported objects in the early universe using the integral field spectrograph of OSIRIS (OH-Suppressing Infra-Red Imaging Spectrograph) with Keck Observatory’s Laser Guide Star Adaptive Optics (LGS-AO) system. We target star forming galaxies with redshifts between 1.3 and 1.7, and use their Hα nebular lines for kinematic evidence of organized rotation or merging scenarios. OSIRIS coupled with LGS-AO is able to measure a full two-dimensional mapping of Hα morphology and dynamics throughout high redshift galaxies at sub-kiloparsec scales. We present our general sample of six new detections between z = 1.45 − 1.65 with their integrated Hα emission. In addition, we highlight the results of a candidate disk galaxy at z~1.5 with two-dimensional kinematics and a well fitted inclined disk model.
