| Abstract: |
A program is underway to obtain new CCD photometry for Cepheids in nearby galaxies. As a result, reddening-corrected distance moduli can be determined using multicolor data. Adopting the distances for calibrating galaxies available to date from this study, estimates of the Hubble constant using two different secondary methods are presented, and some of the remaining uncertainties discussed. |
