Abstract: The results of recent distance determinations for galaxies in the Local Group are compiled in tables and briefly characterized. Consideration is given to Cepheids, RR Lyr variables, the red-giant-branch tip, and main-sequence stars in the Magellanic Clouds; irregular dwarf galaxies; M 31 and M 33; and dwarf ellipticals and dwarf spheroidals. The importance of the Local Group distances for (1) calibrating distance indicators and (2) calculating the minimum uncertainty in distance estimates beyond the Local Group is indicated.
