Abstract: Spectra of 28 O9-B2 near-main sequence stars have been obtained. Effective temperatures, surface gravities, and v sin i's were constrained in the stars by comparing selected lines of H, He I, and Mg II with a grid of models calculated with a non-LTE, line-blanketed code. Mass loss is characterized by a parameter describing the asymmetry of the C IV (1548, 1550A) doublet. Roughly half the program stars show evidence of mass loss. The degree of asymmetry of the C IV doublet shows a monotonic increase with T(eff); a correlation with luminosity is also seen.
