| Abstract: |
Results are reported from an experimental study characterizing the electrical performance of charge-coupled-device imagers. An engineering sample of the THX-31156 Thomson CCD was received and tested. Tests show this device to be an obvious candidate for application in improving the performance of the Echelle spectrograph covering about 2.5 orders with a dispersion of 0.2 A/pixel and with a spectral length of about 200 A. |
