Abstract: |
Consideration is given to the TI-three-phase characteristics, namely, quantum efficiency and stability, charge transfer efficiency, cosmic rays, flat fields, and residual image. The known problems inherent in the TI three-phase devices can be ameliorated or eliminated by operational procedures within the camera and spacecraft. Although resulting in some efficiency loss, these procedures, once well established, are expected to lead to reliable long-term photometric performance. |
