Abstract: Some recent work on carbon, nitrogen and oxygen abundances and C-12/C-13 ratios in globular cluster stars is reviewed. The variation of carbon abundance with Mv in the very metal poor cluster NGC 6397 is described, with comments on the influence of the oxygen abundance and overall metal abundance on the final results. Estimates of the oxygen abundances in NGC 288 and 362 are given. Carbon and nitrogen abundances are given for stars over the range Mv = 0.5-5.0 in 47 Tuc. Variations in CN band strength are seen in the turnoff region stars, with the inevitable implication that some of the variation seen in the more luminous stars is simply this earlier variation.
