A new method, based on the statistical modeling of the stellar mass distribution of the horizontal branches (HB), has been applied to estimate the primordial helium abundance of the globular clusters (GC) M92 and M5. On the basis of this approach Y = 0.25 should be considered as the most probable mean value. |
