| Abstract: |
MIDAS (Munich Image Data Analysis System) is the portable image processing system developed at ESO and used for off-line data reduction at ESO and many astronomical institutes all over Europe. Many tools are provided to customize MIDAS to the individual needs of the user and set up a productive, personalized working environment. Rapid prototyping is supported via an interpreted macro language. In order to facilitate application development by the user, an advanced programming environment based on standard languages is integrated in MIDAS. |
