Abstract: |
A programme to observe 13 open clusters within the Galaxy is being carried out between 25 microns and 200 microns with ISOPHOT. After a preliminary analysis of data for 8 of these clusters, there is little evidence for on-going star formation. This suggests that the star formation efficiency in these clusters was high and the star formation process itself was effective in removing the remnant material from the parent molecular cloud. |
