Abstract: |
We investigate 1262 CCD spectra of the suspected Maia variable star Gamma Coronae Borealis including correlated two-longitudinal observations for short-term radial velocity variations. Results show that also A0 stars can pulsate with periods quiet similar as those of the known Delta Scuti stars. From a frequency analysis of the data we can derive at least three periods with significant contributions to a multiple frequency model. We observe short-term periods with a time scale of about 0.1d as well as periods of 0.45 and 0.89 d possibly correlated with the rotational period of Gamma CrB. The observed relation of the frequencies refers to the occurrence of rotationally split nonradial pulsations. |
