Abstract: |
We present preliminary results of our simulations of interferometric searches for extrasolar planets with narrow-angle astrometry. We investigate basic capabilities of this method to probe the "discovery space" of extrasolar planets assuming certain observing scenarios, precision of measurements, number of observations per star, length of data span etc. We also address the issue of optimizing the timing of the observations in order to achieve the best results in terms of the number of discovered planets and accuracy of their orbital elements. |
