Abstract: |
We have obtained an L'-band spectrum of the bright infrared source NGC 2024-IRS2. The near-infrared spectrum does not show any photospheric absorption lines, but only broad emission lines. The line ratios of hydrogen emission lines located in the L'-band strongly suggest that IRS2 is surrounded by a circumstellar disk. Whether this disk is a remnant of the formation process or built up due to the rapid rotation of this young massive star is not yet clear. |
