Abstract: |
New science often arises from joining source catalogs obtained from different wavebands, but efficient methods for performing such joins depend on multi-dimensional indexing and are poorly handled by most DBMS. A new algorithm, the PCODE, is proposed which allows any relational DBMS to carry out this operation efficiently. |
