Abstract: Ground based radio frequency interference (RFI) has been a constant problem for all low frequency radio telescopes. Future telescopes, like EVLA, with large observing bandwidth will have RFI in some part of the band all the time. In this paper we present an iterative partitioning technique that allows the removal of interference, under certain conditions at the calibration-imaging stage. We demonstrate the technique on some real data collected at the VLA and on some simulations.
