| Abstract: |
A strict correlation exists in low power
radio galaxies between the accretion power, related to the
hot interstellar medium, and the kinetic energy of relativistic jets. This relation
holds over 4 decades, with an almost constant fraction of accretion energy
converted into mechanical power. From the properties of a selected
sample of radio galaxies belonging to the Virgo cluster we see if
the intracluster environment may affect the accretion/ejection mechanisms
down to very faint radio galaxies. |
