Abstract: We examined near-infrared variability of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs) using cross-identification. We first cross-identified the Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS) catalog with two AGN catalogs (namely, Quasars and Active Galactic Nuclei (12th Ed.) and the SDSS-DR5 quasar catalog), and extracted a 2MASS counterpart for a source in the AGN catalogs. Each AGN with a 2MASS counterpart was further cross-identified with DENIS and UKIDSS catalogs. On the basis of standard deviations for magnitude difference between 2MASS/DENIS or 2MASS/UKIDSS, we extracted the sources with magnitude difference over 3σ as near-infrared variable AGNs. We discuss correlations between near-infrared variability and physical parameters (i.e., redshift, luminosity, and a near-infrared color).
