| Abstract: |
The Spanish Virtual Observatory is a project funded at national level that officially joined IVOA in June 2004. It was born with the goal of coordinating in an efficient way the work done by the Spanish astronomical community in the framework of the Virtual Observatory. SVO, presently formed by 5 institutes being LAEFF the main actor, is divided in the following work areas: uptake of VO standards, development and application of analysis tools in VO Science Cases of interest for the SVO scientific community and development of theoretical models in the framework of the Virtual Observatory. The projects that are being carried out in these fields are briefly presented here. |
