Abstract: We present Period-Color relations at maximum and minimum light for RR Lyraes observed by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. Such relations are of interest because of the possibility of using the flat Period-Color Relation at minimum light as a means to estimate reddening. We find that in a few of the Sloan colors, fundamental mode RR Lyraes with periods in the range –0.38<log P<–0.22, do indeed obey a flatter Period-Color Relation at minimum light rather than at maximim light, though there are some scatters. The color at maximum light decreases as the period increases in this range due to the increasing amplitude. Thus amplitude changes are gained by the star getting hotter at maximum light rather than the star getting cooler at minimum light. This is in accord with existing theory on the nature of Period-Color relations in Cepheids and RR Lyraes.
