Abstract: We present preliminary results from a spectroscopic program that targeted RGB halo stars of comparable luminosities to those of stars in dwarf spheroidal galaxies (dSphs) accessible to high-resolution spectroscopy. We have measured abundances for α, iron-peak, and other light elements in 39 stars. In this contribution, we compare some of the halo and classical dSph abundance patterns We report slight enhancements in α-elements in the halo relative to the classical dSphs, between -2.5 ≤ [Fe/H] ≤ -1.5. [Na/Fe] in the dSphs is likewise under-abundant by at least ∼ 0.2 dex in the same metallicity range. We also detect a tentative a Teff dependence in the Mg and Si abundance ratios of our RGB sample.
