Abstract: A mixing length is always needed in fluid dynamics in the description of flows characterized either by small chaotic or large ordered eddies. The geometrical low and high limits of eddy linear dimensions are given by the adopted spatial resolution length and by the entire computational domain, respectively. A reformulation for the physical dissipation is here proposed. We introduce molecular parameters within an eddy flow to calculate the kinematic viscosity coefficient. A comparison between a 3D viscous disc structure with a similar disc structure in the Shakura and Sunyaev formulation is discussed to study the effects of damping for both shear and collisional flows.
