Abstract: |
The decision to photograph an eclipse may mean the observer will pay more attention to the camera than the eclipse because not all cameras have scripted camera control software. Semi-automatic camera control using custom camera settings, shutter speed brackets, and an intervalometer are described. Tailored auditory and textual cues from the intervalometer, when combined with practice, lighten the task of camera-minding and afford some opportunity to recover from error. The usefulness of software for site selection and preparing for eclipse photography are described. Keeping a notebook is advised. |
