Abstract: |
We analyse data from a direct million-body simulation of the Galactic centre to study the dynamics and evolution of binary stars. We show that the dense stellar environment of the Milky Way nuclear star cluster favours formation of cataclysmic variables which in turn may be responsible for the observed X-ray excess. |
