Abstract: We present the young stellar membership in the Chamaeleon-Musca dark cloud complex using Gaia proper motion and parallax data, together with 2MASS plus ALLWISE infrared colors. The analysis for Cha I as an example confirms it being active in star formation, hosting some 200 members distinctly in kinematics in a southern versus a northern subgroup, including a number of off-cloud members previously unrecognized. While there are some young stars found in Cha II, Cha III seems devoid of any starbirth. Our eventual goal is to diagnose the overall star formation history in the region including the Musca filament to the north.
