Abstract: We present SCROOGE, the efficient Fiber-Positioning Unit (FPU) path-planning algorithm we have developed for MOONS. It is a simplified implementation of the Greedy choice algorithm, and in the current implementation, it guarantees the allocation of 95% to 99% of the fiber positioners. We will also present the latest results regarding efficiency and execution time obtained from extended tests on real data sets.
