| Abstract: |
Observation preparation requires accurate descriptions of the field of views (hereafter FoV) covered by an instrument. In the Virtual observatory context, we propose here an interoperable scheme for exchanging and using FoV descriptions including a FoV data model and its serialization based on MIVOT (Model instance into VOTable), an upcoming IVOA standard. Screenshots of implementations of this new FoV description in Aladin Desktop and Aladin Lite will also be displayed. |
